Building a house - John Deere's 175th Anniversary

On Friday John Deere WomenREACH sponsored a Habitat for Humanity day where 20 of us started building two houses for two families in Batam, Indonesia! Even though we didn't get to finish the houses, we had a great together and made some great progress. We moved bricks, mixed and poured cement into the bricks, and helped dig the septic tank hole. There were no electronic tools but all manual - but that was what made it even more fun, great teamwork!
Such a great way to celebrate John Deere's 175th Anniversary giving back to the community that had given so much to us!
Here are some pictures from the day.
