Girls weekend in Napa Valley!

I am so lucky that my parents drove down from Wisconsin to spend the week with me in Kansas City while I was there for work. It was great to see them and spend time together.
After my work meeting was over, I traveled back to San Fran to meet up with Kim, Stefanie, and Bridget for our annual girls weekend! Stefanie traveled from WI - even though she had flight delays she finally made it to join a great trip and her first time to California! Bridget traveled in from Denver for her first visit to San Fran area too. And Kim was a great host - she helped us visit the beautiful wineries in Napa. We had a blast enjoying the yummy food and wine in the valley but mostly spending time together and catching up. We of course stayed at the Embassy Suites - our usual hangout! Great hotel! And we walked into town for dinner. Then Saturday we visited some amazing wineries and enjoyed all types of wine. We even played baggo at one of the vineyards. We got a great tour of the Mumms winery and learned all the steps required to make wine. Really interesting! Then we finished the day with the Napa Wine Train- so fun! We had dinner on the train as we cruised through the vineyards of Napa. We met great people and of course enjoyed yummy wine!
Sunday we ended back into San Fran... Got to do some more biking in the city. Love biking in SF. We explored the Golden Gate Park and other parts of the city. Loved the ice cream and cable car ride. And finished the weekend with a Thai massage - yep in SF. What a great trip! Loved seeing everyone and spending time with great college friends! Can't wait until next year!

A weekend in the mountains with great friends!

So lucky that on my trip to the USA for work I got to spend a weekend in the NC mountains with my great friends! So lucky to have the best friends! Amy and Chris traveled from LA with the adorable Evan for the trip. Honor and Honza drove from Savannah with the cute Peter to join in on the festivities! Jenny ( who is expecting a little boy) and Damon hosted the annual gathering. So excited for them! And Kate and Doug traveled up Saturday with their little one Luke - so excited to finally get to meet the little one! We had a great house in the mountains with plenty of room for all of us and the little boys to play trucks. It was a great weekend! I miss my friends so much since moving to Singapore, so getting together met so much to me. Thanks team for a memorable weekend - can't wait until next year!

A weekend in Cambodia!

Spent an amazing weekend in Cambodia! We fly up to Siem Reap after work Friday to explore the Angkor Wat- the 8th Wonder of the World. And it was incredible! First our hotel picked us up in a tuk tuk - so fun! We spent all Saturday hiking and exploring through the amazing temples! We woke up for sunrise over the Angkor Wat. We explored the Baylon - the smiling face temple. Then we went to the temple used in the Tomb Raider movie- cool! The trees that came have taken over the temples. It was beautiful. Cambodia has yummy food too. BBQ and other beef dishes that were excellent! Also a highlight was that Cambodia used the US dollar! And everything is cheap! So cheap! Beer was a $1! I likes that! The weather was perfect and the people are lovely! Can't wait to go back! One of my favorite ones yet!
Here are some pictures- I will post my good camera ones soon.

Love that the currency is USD!

Love the town's little alleys with fun bars and restaurants!

So it is easy to find the pubs here - $.50 to $1 beers!

After getting into a tuk tuk accident yesterday today's ride just includes the Asian Bike Tour!

A weekend in Langkawi

Spent a great but short weekend in Langkawi! It is a beautiful island in Malaysia. A short flight from Singapore. Perfect way to spend the weekend. We arrive Saturday am and spent the day at the hotel pool and beach enjoying the lovely views of the island. I loved the mountain scenery of the island. We had dinner at a beach side restaurant where our table was on the sand with the waves crashing behind us. Then Sunday we spent the day on a catamaran! Just amazing! We toured the islands of Langkawi - including a jungle walk on one island. We also stopped in a bay for some swimming, kayaking, yummy lunch! Just a beautiful island! It was a great trip! Can't wait to go back for more time!
Here are a couple pictures!
