Singapore Smog...

What happened? Singapore has changed over night thanks to the Indonesian fires. The farmers including sugar cane farmers burn their fields. The smoke turns to haze/smog and heads to Singapore. The PSI is the air quality rating. Typically in America we are at 50 PSI. Anything over 100 is dangerous. Well today we hit 400!!! Only place ever been higher is Beijing - which unfortunately I have also experienced this year in Jan during a business meeting. 

Hopefully we can get some relief soon. They need to start using our sugar cane harvesters.

Amazing weekend in Maldives...

Wow! The Maldives are amazing! Lena and I had a great time on the Conrad resort island in the Maldives. The resort was really nice. The resort had two islands and connected by a long bridge to enjoy the walk over. We arrived to Male and took a seaplane to the resort. Then we were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived. Enjoyed the beach from the room. The outdoor bathroom. The pool over the ocean. And the restaurants over the water. We also got to enjoy the paddle boats and swimming breaks. But the highlight was for me was the snorkeling excursion! I love to snorkel and we got to see turtles swim around us and sharks pass by. Amazing!

A weekend in Cape Town...

So apparently I missed this blog! Sorry! Spent a great weekend with great friends in one of my favorite places - Cape Town, South Africa. We spent some time enjoying the beautiful setting of the VA Waterfront where the restaurants and shops are right on the water with a beautiful view of Table Mountain and the ocean. Then Saturday we hiked to the top of Table Mountain! So fun. Second time for me and I enjoyed even more this time. Then Sunday we ended the great weekend at the famous wineries of Cape Town. But we chose to bike them! Might not have been the best decision but it was a blast. Especially enjoyed all our wine tastings between bike rides. Thanks to Lena for traveling all the way from USA and Brian and Mary from Singapore to share the fun weekend with me. I always love Africa and really enjoyed sharing it with my friends. Their first time to Africa.  Can't wait for the next journey!

Weekend in Manilla celebrating Brian's Birthday...

Had a great weekend in Manilla with great peeps to celebrate Brian's birthday! We really just hung out, played cards, enjoyed Filipino BBQ, and danced to the famous Filipino cover bands...So fun! Here are some pictures from the good times!
