Ski trip to Switzerland with her brother Brian!

I love to ski! I wish I was a better skier like my brother Brian but I still just love it! I am so lucky to have such a great sister in law and brother! Brian flew from Milwaukee to Zurich for a long weekend of skiing with me! We stayed in Zurich and traveled by train to Flumsberg to ski at a beautiful resort. Friday we enjoyed the Zurich city including visiting a great art museum with some great Monet's- Brian's favorite. We enjoyed the landscape of Switzerland - snow and mountains! Just amazing! We had 18 inches of fresh powder! So my legs are tired but it was great ski trip! We made friends including fellow Americans - we are every where! The Swiss love the outdoors and the skiing was top notch and everyone was so kind! Thanks Brian for joining me! Can't wait to take Lisa and the kids next year ( hint!)
Here are a couple pictures!

Visiting John Deere dealers and customers in Spain...

Started out 2012 with visiting a new counrty - Spain! Madrid is a great city and the John Deere branch is really nice. The team in Spain is top notch and were great hosts. The food was yummy and so much! Ham at every meal. Spain is beauitful country with mountains, olive trees, and even a little snow. We rode a 300 km/hr train one of the fastest in the world. My favorite was visiting the olive tree farm and watching the farmers harvest the olive trees. We even got to take a little sample of olive oil back with us. Here are some pictures of the Spainish adventures with the Global OF team.

Wedding in Thailand

I got to spend a quick weekend in Bangkok, Thailand with Erin Y celebrating her cousin's wedding! What a blast to get to dress up in traditional Thai clothing and spend the good times with Erin and her fun family! Andrew and Birth are a wonderful couple and their wedding was perfect. I really enjoyed the tradition and customs. It was also so fun to spend time with Erin and get to meet more of her family. We had a blast! Here are a couple fun pictures. Thanks to Andrew and Birth for letting me join in their special day!

Celebrating the Chinese New Year with the China Team

To celebrate the hard work of the China team and the Chinese New Year, the OF team in Beijing decided we should go to dinner and then off to karaoke for some good times. I had a blast! In China you get your own group room so you can select your songs and enjoy the fun! It was a little hard for me to sing the songs that were in Mandarin. But the group turned on Bon Jovi for me so I could sing a couple songs! So fun! Here are some pictures of the team working in the Beijing office, traditional dinner, and of course karaoke. What a great way to celebrate the year of the dragon!

2012 is here!

Wow 2011 was amazing! And now 2012 is here! I was so lucky to have my dear friend Cindy join Lena and I for a trip to Penang, Malaysia to ring in 2012! We visited the island off the coast of Malaysia for some great beach time and exploring of the Georgetown city. We enjoyed some of the hawker center food on the island. We hiked the beautiful national park which took us to a amazing beach but we didn't see the turtles everyone mentioned. We later learned we didn't walk far enough down the beach :( - next time! We also enjoyed some perfect pool time at the beach resort where we met new friends. On New Year's Eve we headed into Georgetown to ring in 2012 with fellow travelers around the world! 2011 was so amazing. I am so grateful and can't imagine how 2012 can be better - spending the New Year with friends enjoying the life in South East Asia was a great start! Thanks to Cindy for making the journey to visit me a second time this year and once again welcoming in another year with me!
Happy New Year!
Here are some pictures!
