But wanted to share the great times we had in Asia over the Fourth of July! Kristin, Big Guy and I traveled to Saigon (Ho Chin Min City) for a few days and then to Bali for some quality beach time. Mary and Brian were able to join us in Bali - just wonderful.
In Vietnam we of course stayed at the Cinnanmon Hotel! The hotel and the team there are just exceptional. Nicest at hotel ever. You feel like royalty at this hotel. We of course had to visit the tunnels from the Vietnam War. It was a warm day but we had a great tour guide that shared all things of history and reminded us how lucky we are. Then we joined the XO Tour for the Foodie Tour. One of the my favorite things to do in Asia. Drive around on a back of a motor bike and eating all the amazing local Vietnamese food. Most fun and great service! We wrapped up our Vietnamese trip with staying up all night so we could cheer on #TeamUSA! The World Cup is huge in Asia and they helped us cheer on the team. Of course we wanted a better outcome but still had a blast and made many friends...
Then off to Bali. My favorite place - one could live there forever! We had a blast enjoying the pool and coconuts at the Monkeys Bar at the beach. Brian and Mary being there made it so special. We met some fellow Americans - Marines on leave - to help celebrate our Nations Birthday.
It was such a great epic trip. So lucky to have met such great friends in Singapore that are now life long friends. And to lucky to have an amazing family that is willing to travel all over the world with me.
