A weekend in Berlin...

On my way from Brazil to Mannheim for work, I spent a weekend in Berlin. What a great city! I spent Saturday on a bike tour of the city. Great way to travel around the city and see the sights. Also I was fortunate enough to meet some fun people on the tour. Ashli and Colton are fellow Americans traveling Europe for the first time. Anne from Canada was traveling as well. So the bike tour included a stop at a beer garden - this made the second half of the tour even more exciting...then we decided to listen to Colton's great idea and make our own pub crawl. So the bike tour starting at 11am ended with us at Checkpoint Charlie late in the evening...
I saw the Berlin Wall - amazing to think about all the history! We biked to Hilter's bunker - which is really a parking lot now. We visited the memorial for the Jews near the American Embassy, which is now at the original site in East Berlin. Sunday we traveled to the concentration camp near Berlin...words can't describe the feeling touring this. Reminds all of us to appreciate our lives!

Here are some pictures from the great city of Berlin:

I head back to Singapore tomorrow...for the first ever Asia Beerfest! Perfect :)

  1. this is great! I love the pictures you took... especially the one of us dancing. If there's one thing I love, it's impromptu public dancing!
