Ringing in 2014 in Hawaii...

I always love Hawaii! And this year to ring in 2014 with my peeps was the best! Cindy, Mitch, Mike, and I skipped a year of hiking in cold weather to top of some mountain and headed to Kona, the Big Island! Mary and Lena joined us. As well as Michael and Robyn from New York. What a blast! We went kayaking and snorkeling. This included some huge waves as we tried to get back to the beach! Hiked the Volcano National Park - always fun to hike through lava! Then we tackled zip lining - this was fun though I think Cindy would have done without it haha! We also enjoyed some whale watching where we got to see a young whale show off some of his moves! We also enjoyed some pool time as well as time together cooking / grilling meals and meeting new friends. So lucky to have such great friends! I can't wait to tackle more adventures when I return to America later this year.

Christmas in Singapore

I am a little behind in my blog.... But here is a recap and some pictures from my Christmas in Singapore. So excited Matt was able to extend his visit and stay through the holiday. Some of us expats went to a lovely brunch at Capella's hotel for Christmas Day and then spent the day at the beach enjoying the water and playing beach volleyball. Here are some pictures.

A weekend in Bali...

Bali is always a favorite! And getting to travel there with Matt is the best! We had a short but fun time in Nusa Dua. We enjoyed some pool time as well as the yummy Balinese food. We also met some fun new friends. Here are some pictures from the fun weekend!

Celebrating Christmas in Singapore

So this year will be the first year I stay in Singapore for Christmas. I put up the tree in my apartment to get in the festive spirit. But don't worry I will be spending dinner with friends and traveling to Hawaii to ring in 2014 Hawaiian style! Can't wait to see the crew on the Hawaiian beach.

A weekend in Siem Reap, Cambodia

Got to spend another weekend in the lovely town of Siem Reap, Cambodia. It is home to Angkor Wat- the 8th wonder of the world. Largest temple in the world as well. We got up at 4am to see the sunrise over the temple and then visited several of the temples around the city. Fun day and lots of culture. Cambodia is a lovely country with nice people, beautiful temples, and cheap food and drinks. They use the US dollar as their currency and beer is only $.50 a beer!
